Ted's
Vintage Advertising Museum
& Gift Shop
About Ted
The
Advertising Museum was started in June 1999, when Ted acquired a large
collection of vintage magazines. He was struck by the beauty and
quality of the old advertisements, and created the Museum so that
others might enjoy them as he did. Web surfers immediately began
inquiring about how they could own the ads for themselves, so Ted began
selling them from the Museum.
In addition, Ted frequently gets requests for specific ads not found in the Museum. He enjoys the challenge of finding what seems to be unfindable. Ted has been working with the internet since 1988. He remembers when Bill Gates said, "256K of memory should be enough for anybody." He remembers the time when "gopher" and "WAIS" were the hot internet concepts, and terms like "HTML," "URL" and "world wide web" were known only by those on the fringes of computer science. Ted holds a B.A. in Psychology from Wake Forest University, M.A. in Psychology from Drake University, and M.S. in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. You can email Ted at wallert@verizon.net. He would love to hear from you. |
